Sponsors and in-kind donors pay for the race itself. Every dollar of participant proceeds goes to the three organizations below.
Half of proceeds
Founded in 1987 to bring the community and Redlands schools together. REP funds enrichment programs and direct grants to teachers and principals across all 24 Redlands Unified School District schools, reaching about 22,000 students. Since 1987 it has contributed more than $2 million to RUSD classrooms. Half of Turkey Trot proceeds go straight into those grants.

Canned food drive
Established in late 1990, Inland Harvest has no warehouse. Volunteers move surplus food from donors directly to hunger-relief programs across the Inland Empire the same day, more than 58 million pounds since 1990. Every can you bring to packet pickup or the start line goes to them.

Race organizer
The nonprofit behind the Turkey Trot. Phoenix Hope works with communities on local health, education, and economic needs, in Redlands and worldwide, and runs the race each year with the Redlands Educational Partnership.
phoenixhope.orgMost races spend a big share of entry fees on the race. Ours is paid for before the first runner registers.
Local businesses sponsor the event and donate goods and services. That covers timing, permits, shirts, banners, and the finish line. With costs covered, participant fees don't have to be split. They go to the charities.

Each fall, students in Redlands Unified schools can enter a raffle for a free race entry.
One entry per student. Winners are notified the week before Thanksgiving. The entry link is posted on Instagram and here when the raffle opens.
